I foresee lots of uses for photography related MOCs. I've been toying around with ideas for my minigun and new browning, but none of them looked right. It would be great of Will made one.

I really need one (Or 257) of these. And I agree with Tac, there would be many uses for a tripod other than guns. (Landing gear, microphone holder, side table legs) and those were just things I thought up on the spot.

I'd prefer seeing a shallower tripod for support weapons like the M1919, etc:

Also, perhaps a peg hole to accept a monopod / pintle mount?

I agree. A photo stand would be cool, but this would have many more uses.

It does look nice and it will look better than the mono pod on the m1919. I was thinking a tripod with a half of a universal clip at the top for other things also the m1919. Maybe the combat Light Machine Gun and the m1919's box clip in it with a tripod could be on an air plain (all that together is a m60). i was gust suggesting that.

Apparently yes, although limited to PR events rather than actual combat.

Still, with BrickArms, how one uses these toy accessories is only limited by one's imagination :)

Yes, a tripod would be really nice.
But instead of half a U-Clip, I would suggest an inverted pipe, so you can stick the Browning holder in it.
As an alternative, you could stick in a monopod and put on your LMG, or mod a small lenght of pipe and attach the Minigun.

But instead of the Browning and above seen Minigun tripod, I would rather prefer an upright standing one with three legs that are the same lenght.

You would have more uses that way, and you can take it also as a standalone turret like in Halo, the first Splinter Cell game, MW2 sentry gun, TF2 sentry gun, and many more.

You already have the monopod, the bipod, so why not a tripod?

I think that is made, this accessory should be a plug kind of thing, you know so that it can fit both the monopod and the M1919's under-thingy (what's it called again?)

As tripods go, I would love to see the M3, the tripod which is typically used with the M240b LMG, with a hole that could acconadate a pintle mount, monopod, etc. that would also come with a connector joint that joins two rods so that ist could be used ina a standing position as well.

I would really like to see a brickarms tripod! However, there is one big issue; Equal leg tripod, or shallow tripod? Or both? I'm honestly not sure, but I would like to see a shallow tripod!

I'd also prefer a tripod for a weapon instead of one for a camera. It's more what BrickArms does.
I'd love to see it going in production. I'm sure is has plenty of uses but that depends of the design.

I'd think equal-leg, as in Japanese WWII MG mounts. One question- How to mold it? If anyone knows, or thinks they know, I'd like to figure this one out.
Although personally I am quite content with existing explosives, I feel we must not stand in the path of improvement.

I had been thinking a simple-ish way to address this would to be to simple mold a front leg that was compatible with the existing bipod. the proportions are close enough, that a longer monopod-like piece with a foot at one end and a clip to mount a weapon to (not sure whether horizontally or vertically would be more useful) on the other would be a great way to tackle this.

Yes! That way, we can still attach it to the front of weapons! But still, the taller one would be great for a camera. TLC already has a Camera.

The shallower tripod would probably be more useful. The idea of using a tall tripod to mount a gun seems silly to me. I imagine that my fig would still need cover, rather than foolishly standing there behind the tripod, and in that case, I imagine he'd use the wall or sandbags or whatever I build him to steady his weapon. A more shallow tripod would be good for one of my figs if they were prone or seated. In my opinion, at least.

I totally agree on this! Not only could this be used for anti-aircraft machine-guns, but you could make some awesome Flak 88's with a tripod. Maybe even actual flak guns, like the Bofors or Flakvierling 38.

I was thinking, and BrickArms has a monopod and bipod, but what about tripods? I've seen a technique using a monopod and bipod connected, but having a separate tripod accessory would make things better.
