I think a pocket knife will work very well.

Something like the scalpel with a longer, differently-shaped blade or were you actually thinking of having it partially folded as in the picture?

I was thinking of having the blade out.

This knife would be really useful for zombie survivors, I have always imagined that these knives specifically would make there way into the hands of those desperately trying to fight the undead.
Remember guys, if someone says 'not for trade,' and you ask anyway, they have every right to smack you across the face with a hot frying pan.

Maybe not, but it's still rude to ask.

You could do a 2-part mold, where the blade is on a clip, like a half u-clip, and it can fold in and out on a 3mm connection. Perfect for Boy Scouts!
Although personally I am quite content with existing explosives, I feel we must not stand in the path of improvement.
