Suggest anything a minifig can wear

Tactical Vest

I think that this would be a great product for any modern MOC. It can be used for military troops, but it could also be used for police if produced in black!

That's actually not a kevlar vest. It's an LBV. (Load Bearing Vest) A real kevlar bullet proof vest doesn't have all the pouches on it.

Understandable. Most kevlars are tight fitting plain vests. And regular bullet proof vests such as Interceptor Body Armor ones, are more bulky plate carrier vests.

Body armor can come in so many flavors and styles. I like the pictured, I think it might transfer well to LEGO. There's a lot of other competitors in this market already, I would prefer and probably would buy BrickArms over said competitors. I did so for helmets I waited and waited and the MCH Helmets came out which I love! Definitely in favor of this, but I don't think I'm going to hold my breath.

I have one from a different customizer; and while I am pleased with it, I would never buy one (I got it in a trade), as they are overpriced and are made of lower quality plastic than Brickarms is. I am hoping that if these are made made by Will that they will be $2 USD or under. Also, I wouldn't be so quick to say that you wouldn't hold your breath, I think that there is a good chance that there will be Brickarms vests soon since there is such a big market for them. Of course that is just speculation, and I know nothing for sure.

Trust me I'd be happy to see them. I have several vests from another vendor, but they are pricey and hard to buy in bulk... like I normally like. If and when Will comes out with something in this market I'm sure I will buy them.

I do agree Will's production quality is by far the best in my opinion.

Same with me! I do not have a lot of money that I can spend on Brickarms, so when I make an order I want it to go as far as it can! That is why I haven't bought much from other customizers, because they are lower quality and pricey. That is why I am happy with Brickarms, they are great quality and they aren't too expensive!

Back on topic;
If made into a Brickarms product I would like to see this in: Bley, Black, Tan, Dark Tan, Sand Green, and Lime for my faction. I believe that Bley, Sand Green, and Lime are colors that haven't been used yet for mass produced items, but I would like to see those colors for a vest like this.

What I'd really like is a vest that doesn't have any protrusions on the back. As a vehicle builder, any such protrusions (IE: back stud, pouches, etc.) would no doubt get in the way when it comes to fitting minifigures, and that wouldn't be favorable.

If these were made in camo, it would be like a dream come true! It would be hard to print camo on a tactical vest though, since it has a lot of pockets.

This would be great for U.S. Army figs in this exact color. However, the options are endless if it comes in different colors! It would make "Reloads" more realistic, and it just makes minifigs seem more imposing and less flat.

I agree I hope if and when these come around there won't be a stud on the back, while it can add additional accessories, you can't place in certain vehicles, etc. Perhaps two classes one with studs and without.

This thing could come in all sorts of colors: Black for Spec Ops, Swat, or Seals, Tan or a light green color for Army and marines, and other colors for Futuristic people, and so on!

There are plate carriers with loops for MOLLE pouches, mag carriers ect. The picture is an LBV, but there are vests that can stop a bullet and carry them. I would love to see this come out, as it would really help with modern figs and police.

Next to the Modern Combat Helmet and the M9 Pistol, a tactical vest is definitely something I'd like to see from BrickArms in the future.

Based on offerings by competing vendors and the general landscape of the minifig customisation scene, I think that a system of vests with optional backpacks, pouches and other accessories would be the best solution:
  • The vests would be plainly unadorned by default other than some faux velcro straps, and come in basic form factors such as IOTV (infantry grunts), CIRAS Eagle (Spec Ops) and low-profile (VIP / civilian Police)
  • Items such as ammo pouches, backpacks and hydration bladders would be sold separately, for customers to purchase, arrange and glue onto the vests as they wish.
  • Wide range of colors for both the vest and accessories: Black, Light Bley, Dark Bley, Tan, Drak Green, White...

This idea is intended to unify all the separate body armor and accessory suggestions into a complete system.
