The 40 watt plasma rifle from Terminator would be a great BA product..maybe have to shorten the ammo clip or have it go inside or outside of an arm but id like to see this given a go!

Wouldn't it be hard for minifigs to grip it with the clip in the way?

Come on, the mag was said to be a problem with about EVERY bullpup gun that Will made. Just like the ABR, CPDW, SAR, H3 BR, and H4 BR, this shouldn't be too much of a problem.

I think Will has shown he can easily get around that kind of thing!

I think it would be a great weapon for sci fi stuff in general

The Steyr AUG's 30 round mag was cut significantly, but the ABR is still recognizable.

I like the idea. I watched all three Terminator films recently, so I have a bit of an obsession with it at the moment. And it would also work as a general plasma rifle for any sci-fi scenes.
On the other hand, I think the clip is a quite a distinctive part of this weapon and it would be almost unrecognisable without it. I also think that the stick on the lower barrel could potentially be fragile and snap off easily as it would have to be quite thin, but then again, some other BrickArms weapons have got bits that look like they might be fragile but in reality aren't as fragile as they seem.
Really, we'll only know how it will turn out if it's ever prototyped.

Im sure Will could make it great and i have no worry that anything on it would be fragile as no BA element ive ever used has been..I just need this and my BA 80's sci fi collection will be complete ; ) love the Robocop gun and Aliens rifle..always wanted them in lego as a kid and Will made that dream come true finally as an adult..this rifle would be a great addition and gpoes well with the latest collectable minigures robot that looks just like a terminator endoskeleton

I feel the same way about this as I have about every other rear ammo-clip design. I can see both points of view here, and Will has certainly developed a method for handling it. But it's always a question of trading off the "look" for the "feel" of the weapon. The clip can always be made smaller, but with certain weapons, at a point, you've sacrificed the initial "uniqueness" of the gun. I think that that may be the case here.

That being said, regardless of what the weapon was called, or where the inspiration came from, or what the intention of the weapon was, I absolutely buy this gun with the smaller, minifig-friendly clip. Even if I felt that the look of this particular gun were sacrificed, I have confidence that the resulting gun would also look great.

Also, to try and address the fragility concern, I'd like to remind everyone of the tactical sword. The ultimate in brickarms fragility, and yet, I've never had one snap on me.
