M9 SOCOM

Postby BrickNova » Sun Jan 29, 2012 8:00 am

Personally, the M23 SOCOM is one of my favourite BA weapons (in fact one of the weapons in my first order), and I'd love to see a reborn version of it in the form of the prototype M9 plus a newer scope and light/laser sight design. Something like this, but with a scope as well;

A shorter silencer too wouldn't go amiss. I'd love to see a more detailed and modern version of the M23 SOCOM in this form.
I love to build Special Operations -type creations, and this would be awesome.
Comments, feedback and criticism appreciated!

This looks very nice, but I prefer the original M9.

Honestly, I prefer the clean M9 over this one. Too flashy.

I think this is a good idea. A good 'ol stealthy/tactical version of the M9.

I think that it's a little premature for a reborn of such a recently released weapon. Also, there is already an M23 SOCOM that can, I think, fill this niche quite nicely.

I have to disagree. The M23 SOCOM was released right alongside the M23. And the M23 SOCOM would not fill this niche. The M9 is much bigger and is more detailed.

I'm saying that it pretty much has the same effect, being a tactical suppressed pistol.

So? So you're saying that just because we have one tactical suppressed variant of a weapon, we shouldn't have anymore? Even if the M9 looks absolutely NOTHING like the M23 SOCOM?

I'd like to see this at least prototyped. I've actually made a couple of them without the scope, but it would be a lot easier to just buy one. It looks pretty cool, and would be useful for spec ops builds.
I had a good signature, but it ran away.

I'd love to see the Beretta with a suppressor and possibly also laser sight added. Really nice looking, and of course would be good for a variety of military, special operations, and spy/assassin themes. I'd also like it because of how awesome the suppressed M9 is in BF3.

That would be interesting, but why not mix things up a bit, and give it an Osprey suppresser (and yes I know it's a Glock, but work with it).

Hmm...Looks pretty sweet! I didn't know that M9's can be suppressed!

Ehh.....That just looks kinda ugly. At least for me, it takes away from the awesomeness of a silenced M9.

Ugly? I like the looks of it, a much more interesting look then the bland mufflers you usually find on guns.
