Never trust Call of Duty, kids.

What you have here is a Type 99 LMG,and a Bren. The Type 99(AKA the Arisaka)is a bolt-action rifle. The Type 99 LMG is what is shown above.(Just so you know;) But I love the idea of this becoming a Brickarm!!(Will hasn't posted any protos up in a while. Maybe he's been working on a bunch of protos, and he's gonna post them all up at once to overwhelme us with happiness. And maybe this is one of them:D Just a thought.)

Some people commented that it's an easy mod. It's not (at least for me). There's so many details i want to put in, and on top of it all, i have to bi-sect the ak47 to get the mag off. Which by the way is taking forever.

Can anyone explain how this would work, as far as I can see the key differences between the 99 and the Bren are the stock, mag and less so the barell. I fail to see a way in which the the two could be combined without losing the accuracy and clarity of the design...

It won't work at all. There are just so many differences between them that one could not possibly be used as the other without losing the accuracy and clarity of the design. Maybe a kit so that you can change between the two?

I think we should leave the 99 LMG completely out of this discussion, it has it's own thread and if people want one they can post there, we should focus on the bren as a totally individual item

EXACTLY how Badger would put it. I think this would be great. It could be used for World War era (duh!), Apoc, and Hunting MOC's.

Wait a minute, who hunts with a Bren?

I know my Bren will go directly for a Dr. No MOC if it were ever made.

I was using this on SAS: Zombie Assault 3 (available on iPod Touch and computer, both free) and it was KILLER!!!! I really like this gun now, but I honestly would prefer it with a straight mag.

It's like NOTHING brickarms has produced before. I would very much like to see this produced.
My interests include Marvel comic books, English trains, Lego and Cod.

Pretty sure the only model Bren was used post WW2, although I agree the mag shouldn't be too curved.

The curved mag is what makes this gun so unique! A straight mag in a Bren just looks weird
And the Bren wasn't post ww2(after ww2) it was used before ww2 upto somewhere round vietnamish era

The Bren Gun was used right up until the late 1960s.

That would be cool to have too bad it isn't into production. I do have a nice thing to take its place even though it wont look good. Ok.. Take you Vampir cut off scope and light and iron sight at end of barrel. Turn upside down and boom! You got a makeshift Bren :D

I use an LMG with a black minifig hand or monopod on top to make a Bren or T99 style weapon. But if we combine my idea with yours, adding the Vampir mag on top of an LMG, I think that'd look pretty cool. Only problem is, no carrying handle...

I don't think it would matter though considering that someone would hold a really burning hot mag after shooting.

Will should make the Gas cylinder wide enough so a bipod could be added.

Maybe it can be wide enough at the very tip of the Bren, like what he did with the MG42.
