A Good Review of an Amazing Order From Toywiz

Postby Grenade16 » Sat Jan 14, 2012 8:54 am

I have recently ordered from toywiz on Saturday and it came Thursday. I liked the free shipping upgrade and it was all in all a nice order. I have finally got prototypes from this and I will be reviewing them as well as other weapons I got in this order. I will rate everything and in the end I will have a percentage out of 100 for my order.

Choosing Weapons

Due to the easy nature of the cart and layout of the store, it was easy to select what I wanted. However, they were out of stock on a lot of protos like the Kar98k, the M1 Carbine with stock, and the sten gun. One other thing I found annoying was that if you clicked on the headings like World War Era" or "Old Fashioned Weapons", I wasn't able to hit back and go the the BrickArms home page. I had to select BrickArms on the side menu. Other than this, I liked the ordering pages.
I rate this a 9/10

Checkout and Shipping

Checking out was easy, but it took a lot of tries to redeem my gift certificate on the site. It was shipped on Monday and got delivered Thursday, which isn't bad because I live in NE USA. It came packed in bubble wrap and in a box. Nothing was broken when I received it, but a Lego octopus I also ordered was actually MISSING!! I wasn't that thrilled about that, but I called Toywiz up and they said they would send a new one.
I rate this a 8/15.

Now, you are all probably tired of me talking so, here goes with the WEAPONS!!

Headgear

Image

Boonie Hat
This is a nice little hat. It can go with Apoc or SEALs but my first reaction when I opened this was "Why did BA make a fisherman's hat?". I like it but it seems more outdoorsman than war. I rate this a 1.5/3.
Stahlhelm
This is a very good interpretation of the Nazis helmet of choice. I got tan for my Africa Korps. The only problem is, they kind of stick to your head. I rate this a 2.8/3.

Blade Weapons

Image

Killstrike Saber
This is kind of a gladius, but it isn't. I don't know really what to use it for, but it looks cool in brass. I rate this a 2/3.
Cimmerman Axe
This is amazing looking in rust but it can only be used in Castle kind of things. I rate this a 2/3.
Traditional Kukri
This is one of my favorites. I like it in rust and it is useful many things, especially Apoc. I rate this a 3/3.

Pistols

Image

C96
This is one of my favorite pistols. I like it in gunmetal. It can be used in WW2 to Apoc. I rate this a 3/3.
Retro Raygun
This is from Zombies and I like it. It can be used in Zombies (like my upcoming video) or Sci-Fi. However, that's about it. I rate this a 2.5/3.
Beretta M9
This is a nice little modern pistol. It looks good in black. I rate this a 3/3.

Chrome

Image

AC8
This looks nice in chrome. I personally like it. I rate this a 3/3.
Cricket Bat
Only useful in Zombie or cricket. Looks stupid in chrome. I rate this a .5/3.

Freebies

Image

SAR
I guess it looks nice in brown, not much else to say. I rate this a 2/3.
Lewis Gun
This is amazing in brass. I like everything about it and it can be used in anything really, especially Steampunk. I rate this a 3/3.
Plasma Pistol
It looks ok in brass. I rate this a 2/3.
Needler
I guess it kinda looks good in brass. I rate this a 2/3.

Machine Guns

Image

M1919
It look amazing in Titanium and can be used in WW2 and modern. I rate this a 3/3.
Minigun
It doesn't really have uses but it looks cool. I rate this a 2/3.

Explosives

Image

Nameless Round
I think this is a mortar round. It look nice and can be used in WW1, WW2 and modern. I rate this a 3/3.
M67 Grenade
I think these are always useful. They go with WW2 and forward. They are small though. I rate this a 2/3.
M6 Rockets
This is a useful WW2 supplement but that's it. I rate this a 1.8/3.

Rifles and Other

Image

M16 and Ammo
This is SO realistic! The ammo in 2 different clips was nice too. I rate this a 3/3.
Winchester
I like this gun for modern, Western, and Apoc. The only problem is that you can't do it in firing position. I rate this a 2/3.
Paintball Guns
They look realistic, but not much use. I got these for modding mostly. I rate this a 1/3.
Chakrams
These are from Tron. They are not real Indian chakrams. I like them, but not many uses. I rate this a 1.5/3.
Bipods
These are always useful for any era. I rate this a 3/3.
Apoc SMG
This is my favorite BrickArm and I have another color. I rate this a 3/3.
M110 SASS Sniper Rifle
This is my (tied with SABR and Kar98) favorite proto. I finally have it and it's useful. I rate this a 10/3.

Now all in all the total percentage is a 84.6%. That is OK, but I still like my stuff...

Hey, thanks for taking the time to review your order. I'm sorry something was missing, but we'll have it out immediately. We're usually pretty good about getting it right, but when something does go wrong, we make it right!

This was a fantastic haul of weapons though, and we really appreciate your support!
